I am going through boxes of my stuff and deciding what is staying and what is being thrown away or shredded or yard sale/Goodwill stuff.
I came across this.
I am a crazy person and I love to keep my movie tickets. I try to save all my tickets but I do know some have slipped away from my stash. I really enjoyed looking through them. So many memories and people I have shared a memory with.
Some were from dates, or hanging with my friends, or movies I stood in line for hours till midnight to watch a long awaited film or ditching class to see a $2.25 movie at the cheap theater.
The first movie I ever saw was this one.
Yes, I was a freshman in high-school when I saw my first theater movie. I fell in love with the experience. I love the surround sound, I love the huge screen, I love the whole experience of planning out what time to go, who to go with, and whether or not to sneak candy into the theater. There was even a kind of bragging game to see who could sneak what into the theater. The largest I think I went was foot long Subway subs with all kinds of toppings. Good thing I love big purses. But I have eaten Taco Bell, McDonalds, Subway, even Pizza Hut in a movie and that doesn't count the cheap candy bought at Walmart before a movie so you don't have to spend $6 on a $1 bag of candy at the theater. I never got bold enough to bring soda cans in because everyone knows that sound so we would sneak bottles of our chosen drink in.
I have a huge love of theater's can't you tell?
Ok I am also such a nerd that I even logged all the tickets before boxing them away (because I can not bear to discard them yet). Some of the tickets are to SixFlags, or Disney trips or Broadway. I logged them as well.
I did not post them on this but if you wanna know I went to the movies in the year 2006 at 22 movies. 2001 and 2002 both years went to 21 movies. Yes, I have lost a few tickets but with the tickets I do have, is the data that counts.
