Happy Valentine's Day and ouch had to work it off.

Happy early Valentine's Day.
Today mom and dad come over on a special trip and dropped off 3 of these apples.
We meaning Jeff, Gavin and myself were excited about our after supper treat. I quickly made some baked chicken and tatter-tots and corn. The boys slathered their potatoes and chicken with ketchup and scarfed it all down. I on the other hand am trying to get rid of some of my person decided on a different route to my supper.
I love grapefruit
no sugar
just sliced out of its natural bowl.
Then Gavin wanted to eat mine.

even the dog wanted a taste
I asked what he thought of the grapefruit (last week he did not like it) today. He giggling put his thumb down. After some laughing he quickly said,"just kidding. I tricked you. I love it." This boy is so much fun.

Then it was yummy apple time.
Now mind you I am not a fan of raw apples. I like cider, applesauce and apple pie but I never really enjoyed eating an apple straight off its core.
This on the other hand made me change my opinion.
My biggest worry was that when I cut into this chocolate it would crumble off.

Nope. It was perfect.

It is the caramel coating on the inside that kept it all together.
I cut up one just to test it out and by the way these are huge. So we shared one apple.

The boys got their slices and went to the bedroom because Survivor is on and both my boys love that show.

They looked at me for 2 seconds to tell me how they felt.

Look at all that yummy goodness.

The caramel was great with the chocolate and the apple.

I ate my part and enjoyed every moment.
I then put on my workout shoes again. I did my February Challenge again. No guilt and had a wonderful treat. Besides, it was an apple right? It is healthy for me.
